Classic Dal Tadka
Yellow lentils finished with a sizzling spiced tempering — pure comfort in a bowl.

Ingredients
- 1 cup toor dal (split pigeon peas)
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 dried red chillies
- 3 garlic cloves, sliced
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 1/2 tsp GRIND PURE Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp GRIND PURE Sabzi Masala
- 1/2 tsp GRIND PURE Red Chilli Powder
- Salt to taste
Method

Pressure-cook the dal with turmeric, tomato and salt until soft.

Whisk the cooked dal smooth and keep it gently simmering.

Heat the ghee in a small pan for the tadka.

Crackle the cumin seeds, then add the garlic and dried red chillies.

Add GRIND PURE Red Chilli Powder and Sabzi Masala; switch off the heat.

Pour the sizzling tadka over the dal and serve hot with rice.
