Vegetable Biryani

Ingredients

  • 2 cups basmati rice, soaked
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1.5 tsp GRIND PURE Shahi Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp GRIND PURE Sabzi Masala
  • 1/2 tsp GRIND PURE Turmeric Powder
  • Whole spices (bay leaf, cloves)
  • Salt to taste

Method

    Parboil the soaked basmati rice with the whole spices; drain.

    Fry the sliced onion until golden and crisp.

  3. 3

    Cook the vegetables with curd and all the GRIND PURE spices.

  4. 4

    Layer the parboiled rice over the cooked vegetables.

  5. 5

    Top with the fried onion and a drizzle of ghee.

    Cover and cook on low heat (dum) for 15 minutes.

    Gently fluff and serve hot with raita.
